They are a Cocker Spaniel and a Poodle. This makes a first generation or a F1.  When you breed two Cockapoos together you get a second generation or a F2.  COAT  The coat of a Cockapoo is slightly to heavily waved to curly but never harsh, kinky, or wiry. Moderately soft to silky, the hair on the chest, abdomen and legs is well feathered to full thickly wavy and may be longer than the body hair on most specimens. Cockapoos are Very light to non-shed dogs. Most people with allergies can own a Cockapoo. If you have severe allergies, you may want to go with a second generation of a cross back to a poodle. These seem to be better for people with extreme allergies.   COLOR AND MARKINGS  Any solid color, parti-color (two or more solid colors one which is mostly white), phantom (brown, black or silver body with contrasting color on legs, under tail, eyebrows, side of face, inside ears), sable (may be black, brown, brindle, changing to silver, silver/gold mix, red, brown, other, all with darker points), tri-color (parti-color with tan markings over each eye, on sides of the muzzle/checks, on the underside of the ears, on all feet and/or legs and optionally on the chest).  The nose and rims of eyes should be one solid color. Brown colored dogs may have liver noses, eye rims, lips, dark toenails and dark amber eyes. Black, blue, gray, cream and white dogs have black noses, eye rims and lips, black or self colored toenails and dark eyes.  In apricots and reds the liver colored nose is accepted. In parti-colored dogs the primary color other than white is used to determine the excepted color of the nose.  TEMPERAMENT  The Cockapoo is a very people oriented, outgoing, and happy, dog. With a clown like personality appeals to young and old alike. The Cockapoo has a keen intelligence any adult can appreciate coupled with a forgiving nature that makes it unparalleled as a child's dog. They are as much at home in an apartment as they are on the biggest farm.  So if you are looking for a dog that wants to play when you want to play, sleep when you want to sleep, or cuddle and watch TV, when you want to watch TV, than this is the best dog for you and your family.
